This Zoodle Noodle Spaghetti Dinner Bowl is a fresh and delicious dinner idea that can be on your table in less than 30 minutes!
I love zucchini noodles, or zoodles as people now like to call them. Ever since I got a spiralizer a few years ago, I’ve made zoodles many times for dinner…and I can’t believe I haven’t shared them with you before now! I just think they’re so delicious and a nice alternative to pasta sometimes. I like that they’re light, fresh and pair really well with pasta sauce.
Fresh, light and delicious!
I think what I like most about zoodles is how light I feel after I eat them instead of pasta. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE spaghetti noodles and will never stop eating them, it’s just that sometimes I want something a little lighter for dinner.
A nice change from pasta.
Oftentimes I will make both zoodles and regular noodles for dinner so we can have a bit of both…and also truthfully because I don’t have complete zoodle buy-in from the kids yet hahaha! They like zoodles, but have yet to see them as an alternative to pasta. But I love them and could eat them all day errrrrrrday 😉
How to make Zoodle Noodles aka Zucchini Noodles:
I use (affiliate link) this spiralizer to make my zoodles. It only takes minutes to create long zoodles that I fry up in a skillet with butter, olive oil, salt and pepper (and sometimes some Italian seasoning).
Zucchini Spaghetti Tips & Tricks
- Spaghetti Sauce: You can use store bought jars of pasta sauce, or homemade sauces like this 30-minute pasta sauce, this cherry tomato sauce or this tomato meat sauce. My absolute favourite sauce for these zoodles is this creamy tomato basil sauce with shrimp.
- Serve with: We enjoy our zoodles and sauce with protein rich cheese like cottage cheese or ricotta cheese, to make a more rounded meal.
- Leftovers: Zucchini noodles store well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
I hope you try this simple and delicious dinner idea, and enjoy it as much as we do!Print
