These Triple Chocolate Brownies are the most chocolate-y, fudgy, and delicious brownies! I mean, with a name like Triple Chocolate Brownies, how can you possibly go wrong?!
This is a classic recipe for brownies that will absolutely satisfy your chocolate cravings. They’re fudge-y, rich and SO DELICIOUS.
These triple chocolate brownies are DELICIOUS served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Can you even think of a more amazing dessert?!
Triple Chocolate Brownies Recipe Tips
- Line the pan: Line the pan with parchment paper so you can easily remove the brownies from the pan.
- Pan prep tip! Use cocoa powder to dust the pan (pan prep before baking). If you don’t want to use parchment paper to prep the baking pan, instead of using flour to dust your pan, use cocoa powder and you won’t see it!
- Chocolate: Use baking chocolate.
- Cocoa: Use a rich and flavourful unsweetened cocoa powder or Dutch process cocoa.
- Chocolate Chips: You can use semi-sweet, milk or dark chocolate chips.
- When are the brownies done? The brownies are done when the edges of the brownie have puffed, the centre of the cake feels firm to the touch, and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. You don’t want to over bake them, they should be a little gooey.
- Let it cool! Don’t be tempted to cut into the brownies too soon! Let them sit and cool for at least 15 minutes.
- Freezing: These triple chocolate brownies freeze well. Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag in the freezer for up to 3 months.

- Yield: 24 brownies 1x
- Category: Dessert
- Method: Oven
Ingredients
- 8 oz of dark chocolate
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
Instructions
- In a bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
- Now melt the chocolate and butter over indirect heat. To do this I put a heat-proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and melt the chocolate and butter in the bowl.
- Stir constantly. When melted, whisk until smooth, then remove from heat, and cool slightly (just a few minutes).
- Once the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly add the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Then stir in flour mix.
- Add the chocolate chips, mix.
- Pour the brownie batter into a lightly buttered and floured 9 x 13 pan (or you can line it with parchment paper).
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.

I’ve made these now 4 times and each time they are amazing! I read a comment about using cocoa powder instead of flour when greasing the pan and I’ll never use flour again on these! They’re almost like quadruple brownies. I get complimented everytime I make them. And they freeze amazingly! SO good!
I’m so happy you enjoyed them Amy! And yes, that tip of using cocoa powder is SO good!
