In a bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Now melt the chocolate and butter over indirect heat. To do this I put a heat-proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and melt the chocolate and butter in the bowl.
Stir constantly. When melted, whisk until smooth, then remove from heat, and cool slightly (just a few minutes).
Once the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly add the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Then stir in flour mix.
Add the chocolate chips, mix.
Pour the brownie batter into a lightly buttered and floured 9 x 13 pan (or you can line it with parchment paper).
