If you’re looking for a simple, flavourful and super delicious appetizer, this Baked Brie with Fig Jam, Garlic and Rosemary is a great option! Just 4 simple ingredients.

A favourite holiday appetizer.
Brie is always a favourite during the holidays! It pairs well so many different flavours, both sweet and savoury. And it can be served either soft at room temperature, or all melted and gooey from baking it…both are delicious options. Our favourite way to enjoy Brie though, is definitely to bake it. I use a Brie baking dish, score the top and add different toppings. This Baked Brie with Fig Jam, Garlic and Rosemary makes a regular appearance at holiday gatherings!

Serving Suggestions:
Scoop out the melty gooey cheese with the garlicky fig jam mixture onto bread, crackers or slices of apples, pears and fresh figs. So delicious. This appetizer would be a perfect addition to any holiday appetizer table!

Baked Brie with Fig Jam Recipe Tips
- BRIE CHEESE: For this recipe use a 6 inch creamy Brie cheese. You can use double cream, triple cream, or Camembert. If you want a bigger sized Brie, you can absolutely use that, you will just need to add more toppings. Use room temperature Brie as it melts more evenly.
- SCORING THE TOP OF THE BRIE: Scoring the top of the Brie wheel before baking allows the cheese inside the wheel to melt out, making for an ooey gooey delicious appetizer. Refer to the picture above to see what that looks like.
- FIG JAM: Use any fig jam that you can find at the grocery store.
- ROSEMARY: I like to use fresh rosemary, as it has the best flavour. If you don’t have fresh, you can use 1 – 2 tsp dried rosemary.
- GARLIC: This recipe calls for 1 clove minced garlic. If you LOVE garlic, feel free to use more.
- BAKING DISH: You can use a Brie baking dish or any oven proof dish like a pie plate.
- DIPPERS: Offer a selection of fresh or toasted baguette slices and/or crackers. It’s also really delicious scooped onto pear slices, apple slices or fresh figs.
- GARNISH OPTION: Feel free to garish the baked Brie with more chopped fresh rosemary and a drizzle of honey.
- LEFTOVERS: Store any leftovers (if you have any!) in an airtight container in the fridge, then just reheat in the microwave.

Scoring the top of the Brie:
I like to score the tops of the Brie wheels that I bake. Scoring allows the cheese to melt out and get nice and soft and gooey. Use a knife to gently cut into the top of the Brie rind. I like to do mine on an angle because it looks nice.
