My Super Simple, No Stress, Spooky Halloween Mantel

Hello friends!  Thank you for coming over today!  I thought I’d share my Halloween mantel with you…my really really late to the party Halloween mantel.

I wasn’t even going to post my Halloween mantel this year because I felt reaaaaaaally late to the Blogland Halloween party, especially with half of my Pinterest feed now in Christmas mode.  But I thought why not?  It was already decorated, and the more I looked at it the more I liked it.  For some reason because I didn’t really spend any money on it, and basically used a lot of the same things from last year, I thought that it wasn’t worth posting.  But I find that the things that we don’t spend a lot of time and effort on (thus less stress) sometimes end up being our favourite things.  For example this mantel.

Time got away from me so I just basically grabbed a few things from my Halloween box and added them to my mantel that was already decorated for fall.  Lazy or smart?  I say easy.  😉

Nothing says spooky like adding in some crows, eyeballs and spiders!

I did buy a couple of things this year because I couldn’t resist these candles and the spiders.  I found both things at Target so they were super cheap.  The spiders are actually what I think pull this mantel all together. They’re perfectly spooky…spiders in any way shape or form make my skin crawl.  Eeek.

So there you have it.  My super simple, no stress, spooky Halloween mantel! I hope you all have a fantastic and spooky week!  My kids are in big time trick-or-treat count-down mode…and to top it all off they don’t have school on Friday so that should be fun.  I’m predicting a full day of ‘what time is it?’ ‘is it time to trick or treat yet?’ ‘can I wear my costume all day?’ ‘can I have candy?’.  Help me.

Have a great day friends!

  1. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! My new favorite thing is to mix purple, orange, green and black…I see you have all those colors too❤️

  2. I’m new to your site and LOVE it! I also LOVE your fireplace! I’m looking to redo mine (currently surrounded by tile) and would love to know what kind of stone is on your fireplace. Thanks so much for any info/suggestions?

    1. Hi Kristen! I’m so happy you found me and my site! 🙂

Our home builder made the fireplace (we’re actually the second set of home owners so I don’t know much about it). I’m not 100% sure what the stone is, but it appears to be a man-made moulded limestone of some sort. It’s not real stone, but it sure looks like it! I’m sure if you mentioned that to a builder/fireplace expert they would know exactly what direction to point you.

Sorry I couldn’t be much more of a help!
