Mini Yarn Wreath Christmas Tree Ornaments

Make these adorable Mini Yarn Wreath Christmas Tree Ornaments for your tree or as homemade gifts!

So last weekend I was quietly minding my own business, doing a little Christmas crafting, when my husband came into the room and the following conversation took place:

Him:  “Why are you making mini wreaths?”

Me:  “Oh I just thought I’d hang one on the front door.”

Him:  “But you won’t be able to see it.”

Me:  Staring.

Him:  Silence.

Me:  “They’re Christmas tree ornaments.”

Him:  “Oh that makes sense.”

Seriously.  I still die laughing at the thought of the whole thing.  Like he truly believed that I was going to hang a 2 inch wreath on our front door!  Bahahahahaha!  Men.  😉

Aren’t these these Mini Yarn Wreath Christmas Tree ornaments the cutest things ever though?  Teeny tiny yarn wrapped wreaths.  I do have a love affair with yarn wreaths as you my know.  I made one for fall, valentines day, winter, spring (albeit this one was a little misguided…what was I thinking?!), and one for summer.  So why not mini yarn wreaths for the Christmas tree?

All you need are some little rings of any size that you wish (I found these wood ones at Michaels near the yarn section).  You will also need some yarn and any embellishments you want as decoration.

Then all you have to do is wrap each little ring with some yarn and glue on embellishments.  Super easy.

This one is more traditional for Christmas with the red and green embellishment.

This one is so cute and cozy!

This wreath ornament is my favourite.  It looks just like a life size yarn wreath but instead it’s teeny tiny.  So cute.

Have fun with them…use different coloured yarn, ribbon, beads, embellishments…get creative!  These make great gifts for teachers, grandparents, host gifts…I love handmade gifts!

p.s. Love the conversation you had with hubby. You should hang one of the little wreaths up one day before he gets home from work!

  6. These are so adorable. And a great way for me to use up all that yarn I’m NOT knitting anything with! Great idea! (And please, please, please, one day, just put one on the front door and see if your man actually notices. LOL)
