KitchenAid Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 10-Piece Set

I received a KitchenAid Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 10-Piece Set for review.  Here are my thoughts…hint…I think they’re great!

When you’re in the kitchen as much as we are some days it’s so important to have the right tools.  Over the years I’ve used many different gadgets, dishes and pots, and over time I’ve learned which ones I like and which ones I don’t…let’s just say I’ve gotten rid of a lot of things in garage sales.  But I’m also noticing that with over 16 years of use I’m in the market for many new things.  So when I was asked to review the new KitchenAid Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 10-Piece Set, the timing couldn’t have been better.  My growing family means that I need larger pots, and more of them so I can make meals faster and more efficiently…this new set fits the bill!

I gave the set a good workout last week making homemade chicken broth, zucchini skillets, spaghetti sauce, and a delicious fish chowder that I will share with you tomorrow!

So for now, here are my thoughts…and stick around because you could win your own set!  Woot woot!

I immediately loved the sleek shape of the pots, and how sturdy (but not heavy) they are.  All the pots have rounded bottoms which I like because they seem to be more gentle on my flat top electric stove.  But I also like that the saucepans and stockpot are tall, the shape is great for simmering stews and sauces.  And they fit perfectly on my stove burners.

I also really appreciate the glass lids.  I have always wanted glass lids so that I can see what is going on inside the pot without having to lift the lid and let the heat out.

Mmmm homemade fish chowder coming to you soon!

Another feature that I thought was genius are the measuring lines inside the saucepans and stockpot.  This is such a great tool for measuring ingredients and keeping track of cooking and liquid reduction right in the pot!

Overall I really like this set…it’s the perfect combination of saucepans and skillets.  But how do they cook?  Great!  The heat is nice and even…they are a joy to cook with!

  1. My favourite fall recipe….that’s a tough one to narrow down, but overall it’s meatloaf, mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli. Comfort food for sure 🙂

  2. My favorite fall recipe is what I call an autumn soup, it has carrots, various squash in it, and other vegetables. When done, we put it through the blender to make a thick soup. It tastes delicious and the kids who are fussy with eating vegetables can’t pick them out, but it tastes so good they ask for more. It’s so great on a cold day. Now it’s making me crave some!!

  7. These look great! I love Kitchenaid! As a student, it would be great to win these so I can cook healthy meals. Especially love the measuring lines in the stock pot and sauce pans – great feature and very helpful! These would be great to cook yummy fall meals in, such as chili and meatball soup.

  8. My favourite fall dish is one that cooks long and slow – I love getting back to making soups, stews, and braises. I hardly had any motivation to turn on the oven or stovetop this summer, since it was SO hot in Vancouver. I’m looking forward to cooking all the fall vegetables and fruits in as many ways as possible.

  9. Preparing a roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots and turnips from the garden lathered in gravy with a side of fresh baked bread signals that fall has arrived. Let’s not forget the apple pie. I can turn the oven on for an extended period of time and savour the aromas wafting through my kitchen.
    Have a great day!

  10. My favourite fall recipes are soups and stews. Beef barley stew is a family favourite that always gets lots of rave reviews.

  11. My favorite fall recipe is fresh stuffed zucchini boats! I get large garden fresh zucchinis and cut in half lengthwise then hollow out the center. In a frying pan I brown ground beef, minced garlic and diced onions, while in a pot I prepare some rice, and in another pot simmer some fresh tomatoes and diced green peppers and fresh basil, salt and pepper to taste. Once all are cooked I mix them together, stuff the zucchinis and bake until tender. Then I top with home made spaghetti sauce and top with grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese, put back in oven until cheese has melted. Great family meal that everyone loves and it freezes very well for quick easy meals already made! These are a hit in our house for sure!

  12. I like adding fall squash to my spicy chili. It’s warming and satisfying. A slice of garlic bread and a simple green salad round out the meal. To wash it all down, some mineral water with lime.

  13. Definitely various soups. My favorite is doenjang jjigae. It’s a Korean soup with tofu, veggies, and seafood or meat.

  14. I love Homemade Pumpkin Pie with Candied Pecans. My recipe makes 2 one for eating with the family and one for sharing. Thank you for the chance at a wonderful giveaway.
