We gave our boys shared bedroom a refresh with new shark themed bedding and accessories!

This weekend Pottery Barn Kids is opening up a location here in Calgary and we couldn’t be more excited! The new store is located in Chinook Centre, and is the first in Calgary and the sixth in Canada! It will open with its Summer 2015 collection, including seasonal furniture and décor for nurseries, bedrooms and playrooms. And let me tell you how fun everything is!
The timing of this store opening is so perfect because my boys needed a room refresh! Their bedroom is mostly overlooked because, well there’s a million other projects around the house that need done. But they’re getting older and we thought they needed to personalize their space a little and have the chance to pick out their own bedding and accessories. So when I showed them the bedding collections they got very, very excited! Both boys (miraculously) chose a shark theme for their beds. So I let them pick their sheets, duvet covers and accessories and we’re thrilled with how it all came together!
So here is what my boys chose!
Sharks, sharks, sharks and sea life oh my!
Each of the boys chose different bed sheets and duvet covers, but because the colours schemes are similar, they all work together really well! I love that the duvets don’t match, but yet they do. Having two of the same set of sheets would make for a very boring room. I like matchy-mix-matchy!
Look how adorable these sheets are! I think this Summer Shark Preppy Duvet Cover and Sheet Set are my favourite…sharks in shirts and pirate patches?! Awesome.
And look how great these are! My oldest son picked this Shark Bite Duvet and Sheet Set because he loved all the different species of sharks on them. They’re cute but not too cute! 😉
I think their Beta fishes feel right at home in here! 😉
The boys also each chose Shark Bite Decorative Shams, and these Octopus Shams to go with their bedding. I think they’re good at this decorating thing!
We also chose some Anchor Wall Art to tie everything together. Then we finished everything off with some polka dot wall stickers that make it look like their wall is covered in sea bubbles.
The boys are really enjoying their newly decorated room! There is something so nice about slipping into new bed sheets, especially ones that you chose by yourself! The sheets are comfortable and the duvets soft and warm…the boys are more than happy to get into their cozy beds every night, and I feel super happy that they are loving their room!

June 1, 2015 at 8:15 PMOh my gosh! What you did with the bedrooms is so delightful and I love the bedding! I also like that your sons chose different patterns. it adds so much interest to the room! I just came back from Chinook Mall tonight (we were shopping for a new dress and shoes for my daughter’s university convocation) and I saw the signs promoting the new Pottery Barn For Kids store coming.
