Monkey Bars Bike Storage
Monkey Bars Bike Storage review
This month we are tackling our long list of home to-do projects and I have to say that it feels amazing! So far we’ve painted our office, installed a new tap, cleaned the carpets, and tackled quite a few things that needed fixing. It feels good.
We also installed this bike rack system from Monkey Bars Garage Storage Systems that was on my husbands Christmas wish list. I can’t tell you the relief at having this bike rack hung…for a number of different reasons really. Mainly that we have SO many gosh darn bikes that are taking over our garage and our basement. My husband is an avid cyclist so clearly he needs at least 4 bikes right (that’s sarcasm btw)?! And the kids too have to have a couple. I only have one. I only need one.
Anyway I digress…our biggest challenge with having all of these bikes is how to store them, so when the team at Monkey Bars Garage Storage Systems asked me if I wanted to review a bike storage rack, I sent over a resounding YES! You will see why in the picture below…and that’s only a quarter of the bikes we have. Yikes.
Monkey Bars Garage Storage Systems have a number of smart garage organization products ranging from bike racks, to storage shelves, storage hooks, garage cabinets, garage flooring…everything you can think of to get your garage in fine organized working form…which would be a dream come true for this house let me tell you. You should see the state of our garage. Actually, no you shouldn’t. 😉
Anyway, we’ve been meaning to get this rack hung long before now, but so many things got in the way…we went away on holidays, then it was the holidays, then we had a blizzard, then it was -40 degrees C every time we went to hang it, then we had to call the fire department for a strange smell in the garage, then my husband went out of town on business, then he threw out his back….gah. But finally, finally we got it hung up and we couldn’t be happier!
We chose to hang our bike rack system in the basement because my husbands bikes are his babies. And in his words “you wouldn’t make your babies sleep out in the cold garage would you?” Seriously. This is what I have to deal with. Hahaha….but honestly in the off season, the basement is where we store our bikes. During the summer our bikes are stored at ground level in the garage so that the kids can have easy access, but for the remaining 8 months of the year the bikes are in the basement taking up so much space. So it just seemed logical for us to hang our bike rack down there. (Having said that though, my husband thinks this system is so great that we’re buying another one for the garage. True story.)
Here’s how they all looked hung and tucked out of the way! We’re really happy with this system: it’s very sturdy, it holds 6 full sized bikes, but at the same time doesn’t take up a lot of space, and it’s SO easy to install (it only takes about 15 minutes)! The instructions that come with the rack are very easy to follow but if you need more visual instruction they have a really good video tutorial on their site.

Good luck and have an inspired day!
A big thank you to Monkey Bars Garage Storage for providing us with this bike rack for review! And for all of your patience with me as I tried my hardest to get this installed this century. 🙂
100 % agree that the garage here is our biggest challenge. Bikes are all over except for my husband’s which hangs nicely. He bought a single bike hang system. The rest of us however have junky bikes all over the garage. I love this idea and it looks simple enough. I will look for it, but I hope I win it instead of buying. We need several organizing systems because we are moving soon and I want our new house to look more organized than this one.
I think our basement toy room is the most unorganized. But the garage is a very close second.
Well… we’re hoping that our next house has a garage, so this would be perfect! Currently, the most unorganized room in our house would be my craft room. Whoops!
Great giveaway, Jo-Anna! Fingers crossed!
my office is a clutter magnet!
Garage for us, too! I’m waiting for warmer weather before I try to tackle it.
We have a little guest house, that since we moved in 6 months ago is our catch all. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
spare bedroom is the messiest “drop zone” 🙂 Would love this for bike storage when we get our house!
That looks a little like our local bike shop 😉 My garage is scary, maybe winning this rack would give us the incentive we need to clean it up!
I cannot emphasis how EASY this rack was to install…if the cat had opposable thumbs even she could’ve done it!! Monkey Bars makes all kinds of storage solutions that are easy to install and very solidly built. They even make an awesome golf bag storage system that may or may not be on my hit list for Fathers Day…just sayin’.
I would love this for our garage! My husband and I were just talking about how we need a storage system for the bikes 🙂
Do I only have 1 option of the most disorganized space in the house? Gah! Sure would be handy for this house of bike snobs!
Mine is the bathroom – there just seems to be so many products that never want to stay put!
This would be perfect to get all of our bikes off of the garage floor! 🙂
Our bonus room is the worst. It’s our guest room/craft room/man cave, so there is just no space for anything.
Spare bedroom
The den is a mess — it’s the dumping ground.
my garage!
I have a basement junk room that should be organized.
The room that is called “the office” is the most unorganized. It seems like it holds a constant rotation of stuff.
Oh I love this–we need this for our garage! Our garage by far is the messiest yet most worked in room in the house!
What a great looking bike rack! We are in the process of transforming our garage into a work of art ( or at least a work in progress!) and have been looking at systems to incorporate bike storage. This system looks awesome! BTW, I loved your husbands article on gifts for the biker and actually bought a RoadID for my SO! Keep up the great work!
The most unorganized room in our house is our basement – it is a totally disaster.
Our master bedroom!
The garage, for sure.
The most unorganized areas are definitely the garage and then maybe the shed? The garage is pretty bad, I have stuff piled on top of other stuff and it’s so hard to find what I’m looking for. I’d love a bike rack!! That would save so much space and would save me from accidentally knocking the bikes over while grabbing things around them!
Yes, the poor garage at our house. It needs lots and lots of help!
Oh my goodness! My most unorganized room BY FAR is my 4 yr. old twins’ room! Let me tell ya…it’s a daily battle to keep things clean in that room. Put something away and it will always have a way of finding its way back out 30 seconds alter…
The garage is definitely a close second…but the toddlers take the cake on this one! 😉
The garage is definitely our problem area. I’m kind of a neat freak and I have a habit of tossing stuff into a bin in the garage when it’s worn out its welcome in the house. Which, obviously, leads to a seriously messy space out there.
My laundry room! Stuff is stored in a pile beside my dryer because of my lack of shelving in that room.
My daughter’s bedroom!
My basement is the messiest!
The most unorganized room of our home is our office/music practice room. It’s pretty much a catch-all right now!
