A simple green springy table setting for Easter.

My goal for this Easter tablescape was for it to feel springy and natural, and to be something that would work for both Easter dinner and as the Easter brunch table. With that in mind I focussed on green as the main colour and went from there. And I knew that I wanted natural elements like wood, moss, flowers, bird nests, eggs, all things that feel like spring. So I got busy pulling together everything to make this beautiful tablescape.

Set the table with what you already have.

When it comes to decorating for any holiday I’m a big believer in using decor I already have. So when I put together a table setting like this one, I make sure to check my decoration bins first to see what I have. And I’m always surprised to find that I really don’t need to buy too many things. Sometimes the only purchases I make are for things like fresh flowers, and sometimes new napkins. For this Easter table setting I already had the water goblets and glasses (both thrifted finds which have made appearances in other spring and fall home tours over the years). And the little bird nests on each plate were bought over 15 years ago. Even the little green bunnies were from an old wreath I made. It doesn’t take much to put together a simple gorgeous table!

Easter Place Settings

My favourite thing about this table are the simple place settings. I love the look of a white dinner plate layered with wicker placemat chargers, pretty napkins and a little decoration or gift on each plate. Simple is classic and elegant.
