It’s time again for What’s For Dinner!  This week we’re changing direction and planning dinner for camping!  I thought since many of us will be out and about camping this summer, it would be a great idea to share some camping dinner inspiration.  Easy, quick and hearty.  This camping dinner menu is fresh and full of flavour…a perfect camping meal.  And if you don’t camp, this dinner is easily made over the BBQ at home!

A Camping Menu

  • Main Dish:  Campfire Sausage, Zucchini & Pepper Skillet
  • Side Dish:  Cookout Roasted Potatoes
  • Dessert:  Campfire Peach Crisp

Campfire Sausage, Zucchini & Pepper Skillet

This Campfire Sausage, Zucchini & Pepper Skillet is a hearty & delicious campfire meal!  Skillets are great because you can tailor them to your tastebuds, not to mention the fact that cooking a dinner in one pan is the best!  Add any fresh veggie that you love…onions, peppers, zucchini, carrots, cauliflower…anything works!

Cookout Roasted Potatoes

These Cookout Roasted Potatoes can be made on the grill over your campfire.  They are hearty and delicious, and pair perfectly with the sausage and pepper skillet!

Campfire Peach Crisp

Yes you can make dessert when you’re camping, that isn’t a s’more!  S’mores are great, but sometimes it’s fun to switch things up!  This Campfire Peach Crisp is quick and easy to make.  Not to mention dee-licious.

Enjoy!

  1. Nice…we had ribs when we camped yesterday and I tried perogies in foil on the bbq as well. Burnt them LOL…we have a coleman stand up one (not the table top ones) and its only got the one level so didnt go as well as when I did them on the big bbq at home (I put them on the top level that day and the worked out perfect) We also just had reg fruit for dessert and we usually have steaks or sausages as well (Hubby had steak the night before but I had to work til 10pm so didn’t join him til sat morn)
