Easy and Delicious Camping Recipes

6 Easy and Delicious Camping Recipes for you to try on your next camping trip!  Skillets, chili, breakfast sandwiches and more!

Camping is one of my most favourite things in the world to do!  There is something so wonderful about spending time with loved ones outdoors with no distractions.  Just time together as a family, out of the regular routine, under the stars experiencing the outdoors!  Love love it!  I have so many great memories of camping trips with my family when I was young, so we are making sure our kids get the chance to create their own fond memories of camping!

Even though the thought of camping can be daunting, it really is worth the effort!  Trust me when I say I know camping is hard work, especially with little ones in tow.  Oh do I know.  After our last trip I swear I could have slept for 5 days straight.  But the trips are worth it! The food alone is worth it.  I mean, is there any better way to create and enjoy food than over a fire in the outdoors?!  Everything always tastes better cooked over a campfire and eaten in the fresh air!  Yum.

6 Easy and Delicious Camping Recipes!

Sometimes the hardest part of camping is just figuring out what to serve out there!  So to help you out, like a true foodie, I took some pictures of our meals from our last camping trip!  (I had to laugh at myself getting all food stylin’ in the campground! haha)  😉

Easy & Delicious Camping Recipes

Let’s get this scrumptious camping party started!

Camping Breakfast Sandwiches

Ingredients:  English Muffins  |  Scrambled Eggs  | Bacon  | Cheddar Cheese  |  Fresh Cut Tomatoes

How To:  Scramble the eggs first, then assemble your sandwich.  If you want your sandwich warm, with the cheese melted, first wrap it in tin foil and heat on the grill over the fire for a few minutes.  Careful not to burn!

Campfire Sausage & Pepper Skillet

Ingredients:  6 Mild Italian Sausages  |  2 Small Zucchini  |  1 Red Pepper  |  1 Onion Sliced  |  Salt & Pepper

How To:  Cook the sausages first, then add the vegetables and seasonings.  We also like to add and cook a piece of bacon in the skillet for a little extra flavour.

Campfire Chili

I like to make this ahead of time, and bring it along on our camping trips all ready to go. Just heat over the campfire and serve!

How To:  You can find my Best Beef Chili recipe here.

Campfire Nachos

Ingredients:  Ground Beef pre-cooked with my homemade taco seasoning (prepare the meat at home ahead of time) | Chopped Red & Yellow Peppers  |  Chopped Fresh Tomatoes  |  Grated Cheddar Cheese  |  Tacos

How To:  Assemble the nachos in a tin pan.  Then cover the nachos with tin foil, and heat over the campfire & serve.  Careful not to burn!  Only cook long enough for the cheese to melt!
