What to watch on Netflix right now! #StreamTeam

– – – –

It’s no secret how much I love Netflix, in fact we watch it every day.  And over time as new shows and movies get added, ‘My List’ just keeps on growing and growing and growing! So as part of my role in the Netflix Streamteam, I wanted to share what’s currently on ‘My List’!  And I’d love to know what is on yours, so leave a comment…I’m always looking for new shows to watch!

Since we’re on the topic, did you know you can create a customized list of all the movies and shows you want to watch?  In fact, everyone in your family can make their own list.  Here’s a link to some information on how to create one!

So here is my list…it’s quite all over the place, but that’s pretty much me in a nutshell haha!

Lie to Me

Lie to Me

I just started watching ‘Lie to Me’ and I’m really enjoying it.  This show centres around the character Cal Lightman who is the world’s leading deception expert.  He studies facial expressions and involuntary body language to expose the truth behind the lies.  It’s a great show…I may find myself very aware of my facial expressions now…

The Imitation Game

The Imitation Game

I can’t believe that I haven’t seen this Oscar winning movie!  This World War II story is based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing who tries to crack the enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians.

Wild Movie

Wild

Wild is the story of one woman’s 1000+ mile solo hike, taken as a way to recover from the dissolution of her marriage and the death of her mother. After years of reckless behaviour, the main character Cheryl, makes the decision to hike the Pacific Crest Trail alone, with no experience. This movie is the story of her journey to being healed.

House of Lies

House of Lies

We actually watched the first season on Netflix, but didn’t finish it…I think we got caught up in Suits!  But House of Lies is a great show that we definitely want to finish.  This show takes us into the world of the self-loathing management consultant Marty (played by Don Cheadle).  Marty is a successful and aggressive consultant who will do what ever is necessary to get his clients the information they want.

Cowspiracy

Cowspiracy

Cowspiracy has been on my watch-list for quite sometime now, but I just haven’t gotten around to seeing it!  This environmental documentary, produced by filmmaker Kip Andersen, explores the devastating impact of animal agriculture on the environment.

Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is a Netflix original, new this month streaming on Netflix!  Jessica Jones is a former super hero, who is rebuilding her life as a private investigator.  This hot tempered detective uses her extraordinary abilities in her new life as a PI.

Bloodline

Bloodline

Let’s just be honest here for a second, Bloodline has been on my watch-list because Coach is in it.  Yep.  But, this series actually sounds really good!  Bloodline features a family of adult siblings who find that their past secrets are revealed when their outcast brother returns home.

Wentworth

Wentworth

I have heard so many good things about this show…everyone tells me that if I liked Orange is the New Black, then I would definitely like Wentworth.  Some even say it’s better than OITNB.  Wentworth is set in modern day Australia and focuses on the character Bea Smith as she enters prison after being charged with the attempted murder of her husband.

Whew, my list is pretty long, but I’m pretty sure I can get it done haha!  Thank goodness for binge-watching nights!

What are you watching?

Happy streaming!

  1. Love your list! We recently started on “Suits” and it is our guilty pleasure once the kidlets are in bed.
I’ve also snuck in a few “Dexter” episodes … just to satisfy my macabre side!

  2. I love Netflix too — currently binge-watching House of Cards which I started last year but thought too much work at the time. Went back and gave it another try recnelty — OMG cannot leave it alone. Adore Kevin Spacey. Prior to that my addiction was Breaking Bad, The Fall, the Killing to name a few. Ever watch Scott & Bailey? It’s not a Netflix item at this point but you can watch on YouTube. Our friends on the Vancouver Police Dept. recommended it — ‘forget the silly NCIX things, this is how cops actually behave’. BBC rocks. I’ve seen about half the shows on your list and will check out the others when I drag myself away from H of C.

    1. We are at that point with House of Cards that you were initially…we just couldn’t get into it, but I keep hearing it’s so good. I think it’s time for another try! We’re also trying to get through Breaking Bad. So much to watch and so little time! 😉
