Mealtime Ruts No More!
Ahhh, dare I say that I’m looking forward to fall? Eek. The F word. But really, I am.
What I love most about fall is the routine that comes with it. I know that routine can seem boring and all, but for me it’s survival, and I look forward to it so much after the busyness of summer. I love summer, but after days with no real structure and willy nilly plans, routine just feels cozy and organized and I love that. But know what I love most about routine? Regular, homey, scheduled meals.
And just because we’re going back to the daily grind of school and work and work and school, we don’t have to slip into mealtime ruts. I know we all have our back up dinner plans when time is rushed or you simply don’t know what to make for dinner. For me those back up dinners are 3 Cheese Frittata or pancakes!
But this year, I am vowing to get back to meal planning. Meal planning is our friend! For us, this year I’m going to keep our dinners fun & enjoyable for everyone, including me. So I’m going to make sure that we eat our favourite food once a week: Mexican Food. And the folks at Old El Paso are going to help me do this!
This isn’t a hard task because we love and eat a lot of Mexican food around here! I think it’s my favourite food actually – everything about it – it’s all so fresh, flavourful and deeeelicious! And as coincidence would have it, I seem to have quite a few Mexican inspired recipes here on the ol’ blog.
