An Exciting Collaboration with Canadian Tire for the Holidays!

I’m so excited to finally be able to share my collaboration with Canadian Tire with you!

I have been wanting to share this collaboration with you for months, but I’ve been sworn to secrecy since August!  Yes, August!  While out on our summer vacation in Ucluelet I received an e-mail from Canadian Tire asking if I would like to collaborate on some projects for their new Christmas catalogue and the launch of their new CANVAS Holiday line.  I remember lying in our camper listening to the ocean waves trying to figure out how I was going to make this happen, because my mind was 100% in summer holiday mode!  But I knew that this was an opportunity that I didn’t want to miss, so I said HECK YES!  I’ve worked with Canadian Tire in the past on a Christmas tablescape and had a fantastic experience so I knew this would be fun!

So after some thought I came up with 6 projects, then on a 30 degree summer day I turned my home into a winter wonderland!  How fun is that?!  I laugh about it a lot because I remember being out on my front step with it all decorated for the holidays, wondering what on Earth my neighbours must have thought of me out there taking pictures of Christmas decor in the summer heat!  Ahhhh the life of a blogger…where all the neighbours think you’re a crazy person haha!  It’s so great!  😉

Anyway, I wanted to tell you a bit about the collaboration and introduce you to the projects I worked on.  Then all next week I’m going to share the details of each of my projects, and hope to inspire some holiday decorating spirit in you!  Also, if you want to see the actual on-line catalogue, just click on each image and you will be taken to the Canadian Tire catalogue where I’m featured.

First I would like to introduce you to the other bloggers that are also collaborators on this campaign…I’m in amazing company!  Jillian Harris of Jillian Harris Design (and Love It or List It Vancouver), Kerri of A Pop of Pretty, Sarah Gunn of Yummy Mummy Club, and Tanya of Dans le Lakehouse.

I really had fun with this entire project because I pretty much had free reign with what I could make, and I had so many great ornaments and decorations to work with that I almost didn’t know where to start!

One of the projects I worked on was a holiday tablescape.  I’m really loving shine and mixed metallics this season so I put together a mixed metallics holiday tablescape.

I also really love fun and cheery colours for the holiday season, so I created a simple & super fun holiday wreath for my chalkboard wall!

And created a winter wonderland on my front porch with a DIY Christmas wreath and DIY decorated mini Christmas trees, also in mixed metallics.

I also had a lot of fun decorating Christmas gifts with Canadian Tire wrapping paper and Christmas ornaments.  SO much fun!
