Silver and Gold Christmas Porch
Today I’m sharing my Silver and Gold Christmas Porch that I worked on as part of the Canadian Tire Christmas catalogue launch. In case you missed the others, so far I’ve shared my Holiday Wreath & Chalkboard Feature Wall, and Mixed Metallic Holiday Tablescape.

Decorating my front porch for the holidays is one of my most favourite decorating things to do. I love to be able to greet my guests with a fun and festive entrance! And it is such an easy space to decorate because really anything goes…have fun with colours, and textures, use lots of lighting, add fresh greenery. Freshen up décor you already have with some new ornaments or pretty ribbon…the decorating possibilities are endless!
For holiday porch décor, I especially love the look of flanking the front door with festively decorated potted Christmas trees. For my porch I used pre-lit Potted Pine Porch Trees on each side of my door. And because I’m loving mixed metallics this holiday season I decided to decorate them in silver, gold and bronze!
For the tree décor I first wrapped each tree in gold ribbon, then randomly hung shatterproof tree ornaments in silver, gold and bronze. I made sure to use a lot of ornaments because I wanted my trees to be completely filled!
Then in the open spaces I tucked in pieces of Glittered Ferns in Silver and gold, and Glittered Eucalyptus leaves. Now each tree is perfectly filled with holiday sparkle!
To match the trees I also made a wreath for my front door. I used a 30″ pre-lit wreath as my base, and randomly hung matching shatterproof tree ornaments in silver, gold and bronze. Then I tucked in Gold Metallic Pearl Bud Sprays, one on each side, and finished it off with a bow made from ribbon.
I also added a little extra detail to my porch because I think at holiday time, the more décor the merrier! I placed 2 battery operated candle lanterns on my steps and filled the largest lantern with shatterproof tree ornaments in silver, gold and bronze. I love how these lanterns tie everything together!
On the left side of my steps I also added some lighting detail. Extra lighting is always a welcome site in the winter months. I’m in love with these silver Twinkling Spheres! These are great too because you can hang them from your porch!
Thank you so much for reading!

Hi Jo-Anna! I love your trim and siding colors and have tried so many samples trying to recreate them. Any chance you could share what they are?
Hi Noel!
I’m not sure what the actual colour of the siding is, as we’re not the first owners, but we tried to colour match it and this is what we used for the light paint that you can see on our porch railings: CIL Realife Siding, Doors & Trim in Satin, in the colour Swordplay. The darker trim paint is CIL Reallife Siding, Doors & Trim in a Satin finish, and the colour is Intercoastal.
Hope that helps!
