My Holiday Wreath & Chalkboard Feature Wall
Hello friends!
This week I’m jumping into the holiday season with two feet, and sharing my holiday projects that I worked on for Canadian Tire. I have been waiting for quite some time to share these projects…I love the holiday season! My hope is that you will feel inspired and in a holiday decorating spirit!
The first project that I wanted to share is my holiday ornament wreath hung on my chalkboard feature wall, which was inspired by the very fun chalkboard trend! I have a wall nook in my home that I painted with chalkboard paint, and for each holiday and changing season I like to write inspirational quotes and sayings. I have decorated it for Halloween and fall, and now for Christmas it will be a space for my wreath and a holiday welcome message! It’s a really fun way to greet guests during the holiday season!
I love this wreath because it’s cheery and festive and looks so pretty during the day, but equally as pretty at night when it’s all lit up! And the effect of the wreath against the dark chalkboard wall is stunning!
To make this wreath I used a 30″ pre-lit evergreen wreath as the base. Then I decorated it with an assortment of shatterproof ornaments like balls, stars, presents and glitter ornaments, and I filled in the empty spaces with some decorative ribbon and garland. Once the wreath was complete I hung it on the middle of my chalkboard wall using a command strip hook. After the wreath was hung I used chalk to write my holiday message around the wreath. I’m loving how it turned out!
The most fun thing about this project is that it can be made with any holiday colour palette to match your own home! I chose bright and festive colours which are the colours that I have throughout my home during the holiday season, so this wreath ties in beautifully with my mantel, tablescape and advent calendar! But a wreath dressed up in red and green, or mixed metallics would look gorgeous! And write any holiday message, saying or inspirational quote that is special or significant for you and your family. The possibilities are endless!
Thank you for letting me share this with you! I’d love it if you came back tomorrow when I share another easy holiday project!
Have an inspired day!
