I’m so happy to have you here today!  I have been pretty excited to share my Christmas porch with you…I painted our front door and couldn’t wait for you to see it!  But before I get to that, come see what I’ve put together.

A Tree Lot Inspired Christmas Front Porch

This year I was inspired by Christmas tree lots when I decided to put my Tree Lot porch together…the strings of white lights, the signage, the trees, the trucks hauling trees, the snow…all of it classically Christmas.  There’s something magical about a Christmas tree lot, I think it’s because they hold so much nostalgia.

I thought it would be fun to capture even a little bit of a tree lot feeling on my porch…so I got busy planning.  I gathered together more white lights to hang from the porch ceiling.  I found some mini flocked trees at Winners and brought out a lot of decor that I already had in storage.  Bottle brush trees, plaid ribbon, flocked garland and my Vintage Truck Wreath.

Strung some cutie pie mitten lights.

Then I completed the look with this rug that I found at Simon’s…it’s actually what got my train of tree lot thinking going, and inspired the green of my door.  That’s a lot of responsibility on one rug hahahaha

So let’s get back to my door.  After I had everything decorated I took one look at my yellow door and decided it was time to paint it.  I loved my yellow door for a lot years, but I have been wanting to change the paint colour for a long time, and what better time to do that than now?

Anyway, the green.  I love it.  It’s a crazy colour, but where I live it’s winter for a lot of months and the bright cheery colour is a welcome view when skies are cold and grey.  Admittedly though, it is a little brighter green than I thought it would be, but that’s fine…it’s actually not as bright in real life as it appears here in pictures.  But I don’t stress about these things.  I think it’s a fun addition to my Christmas porch!
