Ok this is the easiest dessert you will ever make, and I’m sharing it as a reminder that we don’t need to make everything complicated or fancy to 100% homemade. Sometimes it’s the easiest recipes that everyone ends up loving the most…including the host who doesn’t have to spend hours in the kitchen creating something that will get devoured in 5 seconds. This 3 Ingredient Angel Food Cake Dessert is that kind of recipe.
We’ve been enjoying this dessert for years. In fact it seems to be a summer-go-to recipe that we always come back to…but it can be enjoyed all year round! What I love most about this dessert though, besides the taste, is how simple it is to put together. You’re not baking anything…this dessert is all about assembly. Buy a pre-made angel food cake from the grocery store, whip up some fresh cream and slice your favourite berries. Assemble and enjoy. Yes it is that easy.
On a side note, I just realized that I have actually never baked an angel food cake from scratch! Can I even call myself a baker?! I always buy mine fresh from the bakery at Safeway because they’re SO good…why do I need to go to the trouble when I can just buy one for $3? One day I will attempt to bake an angel food cake just to say I’ve done it. 😉

- 2 cups whipped cream
- 2 cups fresh berries strawberries, raspberries or bluberries
Instructions

- Top with whipped cream and fresh berries.
