Welcome to my home, I always feel so honoured to have you here!  Today I’m sharing our patio all decked out for fall, and I hope you leaving feeling inspired to add a little fall to your own outdoor spaces.

Make the spaces you spend time in the most cozy of all!

This summer we had a new deck installed off the back of our home…this was a much needed project and it seemed like the perfect time to do it.  I love this simple deck SO much, and we spend so much time out here now, that I thought it would be really nice to decorate it for fall.  I mean, why not make the spaces you spend time in the most cozy of all!

Simple Fall Decor for a Cozy Fall Patio

I wanted to keep the decorations to a minimum, yet have enough that it felt perfectly fall-y.  So I shopped around my home and in my fall decor bins to find what I was looking for.  I didn’t want to spend a lot of money out here because honestly, we’re only going to get a few weeks in this space before the snow flies.

Shop around home as much as you can!

So I dug into my stash of faux pumpkins, bought a few fresh pumpkins, gathered some faux leaves leftover from this fall wreath, and gathered together pillows and snuggly blankets.  And of course I had to buy a couple pots of mums…they’re the most lovely fall decoration!

I focussed on 3 main areas in this space: the seating area, the table top and the back door.  So instead of spreading out the decor all over the deck, I chose to group it together into these areas.

This little spot is my favourite…I spend a lot of time out here in this chair as it gets the most sunshine. So to make this space feel even more cozy I added a gorgeous mum, then gathered together both fresh and faux pumpkins, some birch logs, faux leaves, pillows and a cozy fall blanket.  So pretty.

I mean, just look at that mum…sigh, so lovely.

Then I made a similar arrangement next to our outdoor dining table…pumpkins, candles, mums, and fall leaves.

I then layered in some seasonal pillows and soft blankets…it’s almost ready to enjoy!

Then I wanted to create a perfect little space for afternoon tea or dinner on the deck.  So to our outdoor dining table I made a simple arrangement of fresh apples and sunflowers from my yard…just a simple touch that makes it feel so pretty.

Perfect for tea in the sunshine.  Also on a side note, growlers make great flower vases haha

Keep it Simple!

The key is to make this space yours…you can’t do it wrong!  You don’t need to shop for all new decor…you can decorate your space with the most simple of things.  A bowl full of apples from the grocery store, leaves from your back garden, a bouquet of sunflowers or grasses from your yard or a market.  Grab a soft blanket from your linen closet. If you’re buying pumpkins for Halloween, get them now and put them in your cozy space.  Even the most simple touches can go a long way to make your space feel lovely!

Now that this space is all decorated, it’s time to sit back and enjoy these last weeks of fall.

Here’s a quick peek at how things look like in the evening…so lovely.  The lights along our fence are the perfect touch to this space.  All I need now is an outdoor heater so I can sit out here a bit longer!

And of course a string of fairy lights make everything look so pretty.
