My Fall Tablescape
With Thanksgiving less than 3 weeks away, I’ve got Thanksgiving dinner and decorating on the brain!
We’re actually going away for the holiday, but I am going to have a little celebration of our own before then. So I scoured my fall decorations, and bought a few gourds and pumpkins from the grocery store, then put together a fall tablescape.
This is very different from what I put together last year, but I like this one. A lot.
It looks really full, but this time of year is bountiful, and I think the centrepiece kind of reflects that.
Materials I Used for this Centrepiece:
- Apples
- Mini-Pumpkins
- Mini-Gourds
- Leaves
- Wheat
- Dried Corn Cobs
- A Cinnamon Stick Wrapped Candle
- Lavender & Twine Wrapped Candles
- Crows
- I also used a long wooden bowl to hold the pumpkins and such, and placed it on a strip of Burlap.
Go big or go home say, haha!
And for a little fun and whimsy I added the crows. Actually I’ve noticed that there are quite a few more crows around this year, so they are perfect for this centrepiece!
As long as none of my guests are afraid of birds we’re good! I’ll just warn everyone not to look ’em in their beady little eyes. 😉
For the actual table settings, I kept things very simple.
I just topped off some rustic plates with mini-white pumpkins and leaves.
The place settings really needed to be simple with the elaborate centrepiece in the background.
I love how it all came together!
One of my favourite parts of the centrepiece is the cinnamon stick wrapped candle I made.
I had seen these on Martha Stewart, and pinned them to my Pinterest boards so I could make them some day. That some day was today! 🙂 They’re so easy to make, and they smell so good!
So all in all, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! It’s different and full of fun things to look at. If anything, it’ll be a great conversation piece!
Also, if you are interested, you can find my Fall Tablescape from last year here. In that post I’ve also included my Thanksgiving Menu, and a fun hollowed out pumpkin filled with flowers!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a really great day!
