Make this Crow Wreath for Halloween! The black lace over the red has a spooky bloody effect perfect for the spookiest time of year!
Hello and happy day to you my friends! So by now, if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I have a love affair with wreaths. I love them, I love to make them. They’re a great way to welcome guests, and the changing seasons & holidays!
It’s been a while since I made a wreath, but an idea came to me for a Halloween wreath, so I decided to try it out. I have had this wreath base wrapped in red yarn for months now and I was never sure what to do with it…then I thought how great it would look wrapped in black lace. (I have no idea why my brain works the way it does, hahaha). And as luck would have it I had all the supplies on hand! The lace was from this project, and the crows were from last years Halloween mantel and tablescape. So I spent nothing. Cha-ching!
So here it is…my
I think the black lace over the red has a spooky bloody effect perfect for Halloween! And the crows…don’t even get me started. I love crows. Weird, I know.
Caw! Caw! Can’t wait to hang this on my Halloween porch in a few weeks. I like to wait until after Canadian Thanksgiving before I decorate for the spooky season!

How to make a Halloween Crow Wreath:
- Wrap a wreath base in red material: you can use yarn or fabric.
- Then wrap the red base with some black lace. I just used a glue gun to keep it all together.
- Glue on a couple crows (I found these at Walmart).
- Use some extra lace as the wreath hanger.
- And done. Spookalicious!

So there we go. I made a craft (which I haven’t done in long time) and it felt good!
Have a spooky day! I know I will…I’m getting ready for my 20 year high school reunion today…now that’s spooky.

September 28, 2013 at 6:40 PMI agree about crows. Love them. It was that Brandon Lee film back in the 90s. If you haven’t seen it, do rent it. A spooky love story at its best.
20 year high school reunion? That is spooky. Hope you had fun, Jo.
We should do our Halloween linky again!
