Gift Idea: Coconut Sugar Scrub & Free Jar Printable

Coconut Sugar Scrub

Hi everyone! Yesterday I spent some time getting teachers gifts all ready for our end of the school year party (we’re so excited we are getting the chance to have a party after our city flood)!  I always find it so hard to figure out what to give teachers…but then I remembered my Coconut Sugar Scrub.  I love this Coconut Sugar Scrub recipe so much that I just know our teachers will love it too! Honestly, I use this scrub almost every day!

I wanted to share this idea with you because it’s so simple which makes this a perfect last minute gift for the teachers, teachers aides, principals, or the bus drivers in your kids school lives!  All you need are 2 ingredients: Coconut Oil and Granulated Sugar and you’ve got a fantastic gift!  I also made some labels for you to print out and add to your jars!

  • granulated white sugar just the plain stuff you already have the pantry
  • Pure Unrefined Coconut Oil I used Nutiva, it is organic, unrefined, pure coconut oil

  • Use a 2:1 ratio of Sugar to Coconut Oil (I used 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup coconut oil)
  • In a bowl mix the two together completely.
  • Put into a container for use.

Notes

Tips!
- Sugar scrubs are best for exfoliating hands and feet.
- Pure coconut oil is solid at room temperature.

For our teachers gifts, I put the coconut scrub into 125 mL Mason jars.  Then I made these labels and printed them off for the tops of the jars.  Once I cut the labels out to fit, I added them under the jar rings, then I tied a pretty piece of ribbon around the jar to finish them all off.  So easy and so pretty!

Here is what the labels look like…you just have to cut the white circle out.

  1. Thanks for the great gift idea Jo-Anna. I am going to whip up a batch tonight to give to the teachers on Thursday and a jar for me. We must live in the same very flooded city! It puts alot of things into perspective.

    1. Hi Lisa!
You are so welcome! I’m happy that you are able to make this recipe for your teachers (and you!)
Crazy times in this city of ours isn’t it! I hope you are safe and dry!

  2. Where do you get the Jars From I’m looking around to find an affordable set. I want to make 30 for baby show favors. Every girl wants smooth moisturized skin

    1. Hi Stacy!
I just found these jars at Walmart – I think they are the cheapest there. But I have also seen some pretty cute jars at different dollar stores! Good luck!

  3. Dawn-Marie says:

    Stacey,

Why not use baby food jars and include a little baby spoon (dollar store has packs of 10)?

  4. Christine says:

Where do you find the oil ?

    1. Hi Christine! You can find it at most grocery stores in the health food aisle, but I always buy mine at Costco as it’s the best price!

  5. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually
something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad
for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try
to get the hang of it!

  6. Thank you for some other great article. The place else may just
anybody get that kind of info in such a perfect method of writing?
I have a presentation next week, and I am at the search for
    such info.
