Peach Raspberry Crisp

Peach Raspberry Crisp
Peach Raspberry Crisp is a classic summer dessert! Make with fresh seasonal peach and raspberries, and serve warm with cream or vanilla ice cream!

I make this crisp combination every summer…there’s just something SO delicious about fresh peach and raspberries together…and with a sweet oat topping, the best.

For a little extra fun twist on this dessert, you can make individual crisps right in mason jars. Mason jars bake really well in the oven, so they’re perfect for this dessert. Sometimes I like to make these individual servings if I’m hosting a small dinner party. But most times I will make one large crisp…it’s the same recipe and method, instead you’re just using one large baking dish, instead of 6 individual dishes.

Peach Raspberry Crisp
Ingredients
The Fruit Mix:
- 4 cups peaches chopped (approx 4 peaches)
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp water or fruit juice
The Crumble:
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- dash salt
Instructions
The Fruit Mix:
- In a mixing bowl, combine peaches, raspberries, sugar, water and sugar.4 cups peaches, 1 cup raspberries, 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tbsp water or fruit juice
The Crumble:
- Combine flour, sugar, oats and salt.2/3 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2/3 cup rolled oats, dash salt
- Add melted butter. Mix.1/3 cup melted butter
Putting it all together:
- There are 2 options here: You can make one big crisp, or you can make individual ones, and putting them together is the same for both: Fruit mix on the bottom, crumble on the top.
For the individual crisps:
- I used 6 - 250mL glass mason jars, and distributed the fruit, then the crumble, evenly between the jars.
For the one large crisp:
- Just add the fruit mix to a large enough oven proof dish, then add the crumble on top.
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 40 minutes, until you see the juices bubbling.

Peach Crisp Recipe Tips!
- You don’t have to peel the peaches. I like to leave the skins on for extra nutrition, and they become soft during baking anyway.
- I found the 6 jars perfect serving sizes! So if you are serving more than 6 people, double your recipe.
- You can serve these warm or cold. Serve plain, or with cream or ice cream!

Pretty. Pretty. Pretty.
After they have baked, just add some twine, and you have yourself a fancy, but easy little dessert. Yum.

Didn’t Know that mason jars can be used in the oven. Is this so or am I not understanding the recipe?
