My Winter Mantel

Create a Winter Mantel to bridge the seasons!  Christmas is put away, and Valentines Day is still weeks away…so what to do…let’s decorate for winter.

Winter Mantel

I think there is never a bad time for decorating. It helps me to look forward to the changing seasons and upcoming holidays.  It’s especially helpful during the loooooooooong winters/springs we have here. Basically our winters start in October/November and they don’t end until May…for reals. And it can be (I mean IS…who are we kidding here) very very tedious and depressing. So I decorate. It makes the house cheery and puts a smile on my face.

This year, like in other years mantels, I ‘shopped’ around my home. I certainly have enough stuff that I don’t need to buy anything new…so I scoured my decorations, and went room to room looking for things that would work.  I knew I wanted white, and earthy…

  1. WOW! It’s like you read my mind. I keep meaning to search for ideas for a winter mantle. Yours couldn’t be any more beautiful! I’m so inspired–pinning now! 🙂 Thanks for linking up to Oopsey Daisy!

  2. Hi,
I really like the bookshelves in the pictures and would like to get something similar. Were they custom made? Do you know if I can order them online somewhere please?
    Thank you
    Mike

      1. Thanks for your prompt reply. I’ll google a bit here and there trying to find something similar and ready to be installed.
        Enjoy your day.

  3. I just love your mantle! It looks like winter for sure. I don’t suppose you might have a link to for the trees or snowflakes? They are just gorgeous! Thanks and Happy New Year!

  4. Is your bookshelf surrounding your fireplace a built-in or were they cabinets designed to be a built in? I have just about the same set-up but with brick, even the same mantel (mine is natural color but looking to paint it white).
