How Does Your Garden Grow?

Well May Long Weekend here in Canada starts in about 12 hours!  Whoot!
And this weekend marks the time to Get Ready and Garden!  Finally.
Time to plant your seeds.  Time to get those bedding plants.  Time to turn on the sprinklers.
Then wait.  Wait and wait for the sun to get everything growing.  I love this time of year!

Here’s a little tour of my garden, just waiting for growth and flowers!

This is our raised garden!  I love this!
We planted gladiolas, green beans, peas, zinnias and strawberries in here this year.

My baskets with hanging strawberries.

My shade bed that does not get a lick of sun.  Full of hostas, bleeding hearts and pansies.

Waiting, waiting…

This is where we spend a lot of time.
So we will spend our time waiting for summer, while noshing on these!

  1. Makes me want summer to come. My husband built me a couple of raised garden beds and a few things were planted in them. Unfortunately, it snowed yesterday and I’m thinking I’ll need to start over again. All your food ideas are making me drool!

  2. our new raised beds are in “bloom”…I can;t say full bloom yet because I know that I will jinx them!! LOL!! I really have the worst green thumb ever!!! I will share pics with you though in just a minute! Thanks for all of your kind remarks! I have really enjoyed reading your blog!

  4. I think this post might be my favorite yet! First, your garden and yard is GORGEOUS! I love the hanging strawberry plant idea. But even more than all of that, those recipes for a summer bbq are amazing. I almost cried when I saw the Smore cake. Nothing has ever looked yummier in my life! And those hamburgers too… my goodness.

    Great post!
