Using Yarn: Yarn Wrapped Monograms
I have so much leftover yarn from my Winter and Valentines wreath and Valentines Garland projects, so I was wracking my brain trying to find some way to use it. While I was organizing our mudroom, I put the kids initials over their hooks, and I just didn’t love them (they were initially wooden ones, and I thought they were too plain, and too small). Then an idea came to me out of nowhere, and I thought, why not make my own.
This project cost me nothing, but the supplies I already had on hand. I cut their initials out of cardboard (yes you heard me right, cardboard). I thought if they looked cheap after I made them, I would just throw them out, but they actually look alright. My daughter loves hers!
The lighting in my laundry loom is terrible for pictures! |
I can’t believe those are made out of cardboard. They are fabulous.
I made a valentine wreath the same way last year. I never thought of doing a monogram…the possibilities are endless! Look great!
LOVE these! The color combo is great, too!
Darling! I love this idea! I kind of have an obsession with all letters and numbers. Bad,bad addiction!! I must make these. I must!
Thanks so much for the inspiration!
