Spring is in the air over here…ok, well spring is in my house…maybe not so much outside yet. I’m just going to pretend that we don’t have 2 feet of snow still, with more on the way. Because it’s spring inside and that’s all there is to it. 😉 Winter be darned, it’s time to put a spring wreath on it.
It’s been a while since I created a wreath for spring…I’ve been hanging this yarn wreath on my door for the last few years, so it was definitely time for a new one. I wanted something completely fresh and different…and it had to be bright, flowery and cheery! No problem.
One trip down the aisles at Michaels and I had a vision. I came across this gorgeous flowery ribbon and from there my wreath was created. On a side note, this flowery ribbon pretty much sums me right up. If I could, I would wrap my entire house in it. For real. I LOVE it.
Then I found these pretty paper flower stems to match, and I already had the white wicker wreath base, which I actually found at the dollar store a few months ago. When did dollar stores start carrying the cutest stuff?! Anyway, I had everything I needed to put together my wreath.
How to Make this Simple Spring Wreath
This wreath was SO easy to create. All I did was stuff the flower stems into the wicker, I didn’t even glue them in. Then I tied the ribbon on. It took me 15 minutes to make. And cost less than $15! Now, that’s my kind of project.
I absolutely love how it turned out. It’s perfectly springy, and looks so pretty in my kitchen area.
