Hot Rods, Hot Dogs and Thank-You’s!

First, I want to say thanks to everyone who read my post from last Thursday, and especially those who left comments.  I read and cherish them all!  I don’t have access to my e-mail (but I do have internet access – go figure), so when I do, I will respond to all of your comments!  Please know that I am so thankful for all of your kind words, and for all of the insight into who you all are!

Today I just wanted to share with you some pictures from my weekend…
Every year our family drives up to a small little Northern Alberta town and we attend a car show that my father-in-law helps organize.

There are always so many beautiful cars, so there are photo ops abound!  I took about 100 pictures, no joke, but I narrowed them down to a few of my faves…
I’m going to start this little picture show with this car.
This Monarch is my father-in-laws car, and the same car my hubby & I drove off in after we took our wedding vows almost 13 years ago!
I felt like a bride right out of the past!  Tooooo fun!
So this beauty has special meaning to us!
What I love most about this car show are the details on all of the cars.
The cars themselves are gorgeous, but it’s the close up pictures of parts of the cars that I enjoy the most, like this old engine.
And the fronts of these old cars…just like pieces of art!
I was going to call them grills, but that just sounded too car-hard-core… 😉
I also can’t get enough of all the colours!  Ahhhhmazing!
I loved this turquoise car!
And who can’t love a hot pink car?!
Now that’s my kind of car colour!

This is one of my favourite shots!
I love the Chevy logo.

But this picture has to be my favourite.
I love the colour and the logos!
Just so classic.

This car was my favourite.
It looked like an airplane, but I couldn’t seem to capture it properly with my camera.
And I couldn’t seem to get a picture without me in it…see there I am lookin’ all camera obsessed…hahaha
Ok, maybe this is my favourite shot!
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I almost had to lay down on the ground to get this one…not a pretty site…
But LOVE this shot.

This one is fun too…it’s all the little details on these cars that I adore.
Even the trunks are pretty.
And the wheels.
Our cars now just don’t seem to have the same charm!
Now who doesn’t love the classic turquoise and white Chevy?!
I can just picture myself with a scarf tied around my head flying down the hi-way when I see one of these.  So gorgeous.

Again, I can’t get enough of the glossy colours.  Brilliant blue.
So that’s it for now…it was a long day and now it’s time to get on the boat for an afternoon picnic!
Thanks again so much for taking the time out of your day to read along with me… 🙂
