I really love projects that are simple to make, require really no time and barely any supplies, but are cute, like these 5 Minute Christmas Mason Jar Candles!  With our dark winter nights that basically start at 5:00PM, I find that candles are a nice way to brighten up the night.  I love the soft glow they give off.  I also like to add mason jar candles to table settings.  If you get the candle down far enough into the jar you don’t need to worry about setting your sleeves on fire as you reach for dishes across the table! Ha!

This year I’ve embraced traditional Christmas colours like red and green, around my home.  These are the colours of the Christmas’s of my childhood, and I’m really happy to be surrounded by them this time of year.  Also because red is so outside the norm for decorating around here, it’s actually a nice change…I appreciate the pop of colour in winter!

So continuing with my theme, I decided to make these simple mason jar candles for my table setting.

I used the most simple supplies ever…mason jars, floating candles, twine, Buffalo plaid ribbon and sprigs of fresh evergreens.  SO easy.  And what’s great about this project, is that you can tailor it to your own home decor.  Use ribbon of your colour choice to match your own home, use a sprig of berries…the choice is all yours.
