Summer Frozen Dessert Party

This post is sponsored by So Delicious who makes the delicious dairy-free cashewmilk frozen dessert that I used for our simple and fun summer dessert party!

We have had such a busy summer so far…we spent two weeks on the west coast camping on the ocean, then we volunteered at our local folk festival and the kids spent a week with Grandma & Grandpa.  It’s been fantastic, but we haven’t had much down time until now.  So now we’re all back home and settled, and are looking forward to some good old fashioned lazy summer days at home.  And lazy summer days call for dessert, especially the frozen kind!  Because really, what better time is there than summer to enjoy a delicious frozen dessert?  No time like the present I say.  So one afternoon this week I decided to treat the kids and their friends to a little dessert party with frozen treats and tonnes of toppings!

Summer Frozen Dessert Party {A Pretty Life}

I wanted to be able to put out a selection that all my kids friends could enjoy, so for this party I offered our little party goers a selection of So Delicious Cashewmilk Frozen Desserts.  These decadent cashewmilk frozen dessert pints are all dairy free, vegan, soy free, gluten free, and free of any artificial colours, flavours, or sweeteners.  But they taste so decadent and creamy that you won’t believe they are dairy free!  And with so many different flavours to choose from it was tough to not buy them all, but for our party I chose the Salted Caramel Cluster, Dark Chocolatey Truffle and Creamy Cashew…my favourite was the Dark Chocolatey Truffle…mmmmmm

Once I had all the frozen cashewmilk dessert flavours chosen, I gathered together a number of tasty toppings.  I find that the key to a successful dessert party is to make sure that there is a wide selection of toppings ranging from candy to fresh fruit.  Some people *coughcoughme* don’t like sprinkles, and would prefer fresh berries on my dessert. 😉  The great thing about a buffet-style dessert party is that you can tailor it to your needs and tastebuds!  You can have so much fun with this!

We even made some mini chocolate chip cookies so we could put together little sandwiches with the cashewmilk frozen dessert.  Just press a scoop between two cookies and roll it in sprinkles!  The kids loved these.  Adorable, pretty and delicious!
