My Easter Mantel

With Easter only a couple of weeks away, I figured it was time for me to get decorating!  I don’t know why, but I haven’t been too keen on holiday decorating this year.  I think part of it is that my style is changing, and I’m not sure where to start anymore.

I have these visions on what I’d really like to do in my home, but they all require that I go out and spend a whole bunch of money on new stuff, which just isn’t practical.  So this year I just decided to revamp and work with what I had already, which is kind of fun in itself.  I love finding ways to reuse things I already have around!

Then end result is simple, soft and just the right amount of festive!

A couple of years ago I made an Easter Yarn Ball Garland, that this year I turned into a wreath!
I love the soft pastel colours in it…they’re so cheery!

Then I added pretty pink tulips which I just can’t go without this time of year!
Fresh flowers changes the feel of any room in an instant!  I need to have them around in the winter!

Then I finished things off by adding my pottery rabbits that I scooped up a few years ago from Pier 1, and added 3 soft pink candle tumblers from Glass.Ful, and now my mantel done.

  Just simple and pretty!

Do you decorate for all of the holidays?

Happy decorating!

  1. very nice display…I don’t have a mantel in our main living area – only one in the basement and we don’t spend too much time down there…I do have a ledge between my kitchen and dining room…might just have to get it decorated for spring – thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Oh I think everything is so pretty!! I love to decorate for the holidays, but I’m still getting enough stuff together to decorate everywhere! Ha – it’s a work in progress.

  3. What a sweet mantel! I really only decorate for Christmas…I wish I decorated for every holiday, but I feel like I’d have to go spend so much money so instead I never buy anything. So sad! I love your yarn wreath – such a cute idea. The whole thing looks great! 🙂

  4. Beautiful. Your decorating style is unique and creative. I admire your fireplace stonework and mantle. Beautiful.
