Confession: I’m a Netflix Cheater. #dontjudge
I’m a Netflix cheater. I fully admit it. Mind you, this is really just a recent behaviour. For years I waited to watch everything with my husband, painstakingly waiting for when our schedules would align so we could watch our favourite shows together. But now our lives feel so much busier, and it seems like we have less time, especially with our kids getting older and their bed times getting later, so our TV watching habits have changed.
Gone are the days where we would sit down at 7:30 after the kids are in bed to watch shows we’ve recorded weekly. Now it’s all about binge watching what you can, when you can find the time. And sometimes with binge watching you Just. Don’t. Want. To. Stop. So cue Netflix cheating. I’m a cheater. In fact I don’t wait at all. I just go on full steam ahead. I know, that sounds really terrible doesn’t it? But apparently I’m not the only one…according to a new study released by Netflix, nearly half (46%) of streaming couples around the world have stream cheated on their significant other!
I just can’t quit you Frank
So what am I cheat watching without him? Well just to name a few, Santa Clarita Diet, Riverdale, Scandal and House of Cards. Ok, the man is a little irked with me watching House of Cards without him. Truth be told we’ve tried to watch this show 3 separate times because I just couldn’t seem to get into it. Then one night while my husband was away for work, I didn’t have any show on the go, so I decided to pick up House of Cards again…and turns out that I LOVE this show. It took a while, but now I’m hooked. And I think the man is teensy bit annoyed. BUT I told him to hurry up and watch it so he can catch up with me, and we’ll meet again at season 3. The ball is in his court now. #sorrynotsorry Hey, at least I confessed.
Disclosure: I am part of the Netflix StreamTeam, but as always all thoughts and opinions here are my own…I LOVE Netflix…it’s an addiction…but a good one!
ha ha 😉
