Thanksgiving Thru My Lens

We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving a few weeks back and it already feels like a lifetime ago!

One second it was a warm sunny fall weekend, and now I’m staring at 1 foot of snow.  How time flies!

I forgot that I took some photos from that weekend with my iPhone using Hipstamatic.  Hipstamatic shots really are my most favourite photos.  I love them even more than my fancy camera!

Anyway, I thought I’d share a little glimpse into our beautiful Thanksgiving weekend!

The most beautiful sunset on the way…

Capturing steam from my most favourite bevvie in the world…coffee.  Amen.

An abandoned nest.  🙁

Woodland mushrooms.  The real kind.  Gorgeous!

Sunny blue skies and yellow fall leaves.  Gorgeousness!

Crunchy leaves underfoot everywhere.  One of my most favourite sounds in the world!

Just pretty.  Exposed rock we saw on an afternoon walk in the woods.

Smoky skies.  There were forest fires somewhere, so the skies were hazy and pink.  SO pretty!

I really love fall, and am sad it’s over.  I’m trying to embrace the fact that winter is here and probably here to stay.  Time for winter coats, boots, toques, and mitts. And fun stuff like tobogganing, skating and skiing.  Embrace.  I will embrace it.  Gah.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Great pics Jo-Anna! This weekend I am totally missing the fall! It is soo gray and I can’t seem to get warm today. Every time I look out the window I get chilled. I’m looking forward to warmer temps tomorrow. Hope you’re having a good weekend!
