My Christmas Playlist for 2012

I love Christmas music.  Love love it.  As soon as the Christmas season hits, it’s playing.  And it plays until New Years Eve…no kidding.  I mean, we only get a small window to play the stuff!  😉  And every year I like to put together a new playlist, mixing up old favourites with some new ones.  So here is my list for this season!

1.  Angels We Have Heard On High – Folk Angel  (New favourite Christmas song!)

2.  Aspenglow – John Denver  (Takes me back to my childhood.)

3.  Let It Snow – Diana Krall  (Love her sultry voice!)

4.  Please Come Home for Christmas – Christina Perri  (A new fave!)

5.  The Christmas Waltz – She & Him  (Best Christmas album discovery ever.  My kind of music.)

6.  White Christmas – Michael Buble & Shania Twain  (A goodie!)

7.  Jingle Bells – Barenaked Ladies (Totally silly song – the kids love it)

8.  What Child Is This – Sarah McLachlan  (Love Sarah McLachlan…this album is amazing!)

9.  Cool Yule – Matt Dusk  (A really fun jazzy song!)

10.  Baby It’s Cold Outside – Meaghan Smith  (One of my faves too!)

11.  Coventry Carol – Loreena McKennitt  (A really nice change from the traditional stuff.)

12.  Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – James Taylor  (Love this song!)

What are you listening to?  Share your faves!  And have a Merry day!

  1. I love Chrsitmas Music too! My wife has been listening to She & Him, while I tend to lean more towards the classics and new music that sounds like the classics. That’s why I love Michael Bublé’s album.

  2. Interesting line-up! I will make sure to check some of them out today, I was looking for a new christmas CD anyway. One of my favorites of all time is Aimee Mann’s Another Drifter in the Snow. So beautiful – and such a unique take on some of the classics.

  3. That is a really good tip particularly to those fresh to the blogosphere.
Short but very precise info… Thank you for sharing this one.
