A Pretty Life Highlights!
Hi! And a big welcome to my blog!
As many of you know (because I may have mentioned it ad nauseum over the last few days) I’m off to the SNAP blogging conference this week!
I’m excited. I’m nervous. Wish me luck!
While I’m away, I thought it might be fun to post some blog highlights…hopefully introducing some new friends to some of the things I like to blog about around here, and maybe show some regular readers some posts they may not have seen before!
This is just a little collection of some of my most popular and most favourite posts!
As you will see, I post a litte bit about everything…
Food, DIY & Crafts, Gardening, Home Decor, Organizing…basically I’m all about the home.
I Cook. Bake. Create. Decorate.
I have a thing for wreaths. Especially yarn wreaths. There is just something so pretty about the way they’re wrapped. Combined with felt flowers and I’m in love! I made this Dahlia Yarn Wreath a couple of summers ago, and I still love it! It’s fresh, vibrant and very summery!
And food. I love food. I love to create and eat it! I love old tried and true recipes, but I’m always up for trying new things too! These Crispy Cheesy Quinoa Bites are the bomb! And they seem to be a hit with you too! Yum!
Oh gardening…how I love gardening! I also like to share my gardening journey over here! Beautiful flowers and beautiful homegrown food is the best! I especially love container gardening, which is great for us city dwellers. Some of my favourite planters are these wine box planters!
I also love a great craft or DIY project. I’m always looking for ideas to make life a little more simple and a lot more pretty! This Black Lace Earring Organizer is one of my favourite projects. I still love it as much now as the day I made it! Sassy!
Have I mentioned that I have a love affair with Peanut Butter! Peanut butter anything. You’ve got to try this Peanut Butter Bread. Divine! I’ve got a tonne of recipes with PB in them…pancakes, cake, cookies, icing, parfaits… Drool.
I also like to offer cleaning tips to help make life easier…using vinegar is the best! Which leads me to this post… Oh this little post…pinned over 1 million times…(say it like Dr. Evil…it’s more impressive). DIY Fruit & Veggie Wash. Easy and effective!
I also have a little thing with keeping things organized. I like an organized home! Especially my kitchen! This Kitchen Organizing post is full of easy to implement tips.
And we like to throw a good party over here too! This Backyard BBQ Bash was a hit! Especially this fun way to serve watermelon!
I also have a big love of seasonal decorating! We have really long winters/spring here, so it’s nice to keep things fresh & pretty indoors. My Fall Mantel has been very loved by you all!
And can’t forget the outdoors…I like to keep things pretty out there too! This post of my Winter Porch is a fave!
And last but not least, this mason jar post is one of my favourites…I think it’s because it was one of my first blog posts, but I also really, really love old mason jars!
GAH I love your wreath at the top! I’ve been wanting to make one for a while but am so overwhelmed thinking of all that could be! So I’m going to try that one. Thank you!
Thank you Sarah! Don’t be overwhelmed at all! They’re much easier than they look! Go for it! 😉
Have fun at the conference; I have seen and read everyone of these past posts of yours & loved them all. Nice to share again
Oh thank you Cindy! I’m always so thankful for your continued support! 🙂
I love the jars in your lovely kitchen. It looks so pretty and neat.
Thank you Janet! I do love my kitchen, but I promise it doesn’t look this neat all the time! 🙂
So glad to have met you here at SNAP! I’m loving your blog and am excited to spend more time looking around.
I’m so glad to have met you and your Mom too! What an experience SNAP was heh?! See you next year? 😉
I am new to this blogging business and I was so intrigued by the prettiness of your delicious blog full of pretty things!! I like pretty things too! We are kindred spirits for sure! As I mentioned earlier, I am definately new to this blogging business and I have a few questions: what on earth is “SNAP”-can I join? Also, your kitchen looked REALLY sparkling-what cleaning products do you recommend to get that shine! Hope to hear from you soon-
Your new fellow blogger!
