Spring, why do you elude me?
Ok ladies, it’s time to pretend it’s spring!
(I just can’t do the Easter decoration thing yet. For me, it’s still too early. March is a transition month…)
Where I live it is bone-chilling cold. The kind of cold that will freeze your skin in less than 10 minutes of exposure. Frankly, I’m tired of it. And I’m a winter girl, but enough is enough.
Spring seems so far away (and realistically, here it is – we could still have 3 more months…but I’m optimistically hoping that’s not the case.).
So it’s time to bring spring to us.
Let’s get springin’
Deck the halls in spring style! Start with decor and just ‘shop’ around your own home.
I just ‘shopped’ from things I already had around the house.
My little homage to spring.

I like to add pops of spring colour. Everything feels fresh! |
Drink lots of water to keep you sharp, happy and healthy…
Bring out old magazines from the years past, to match the season… Martha’s inspiration never goes out of style.
Buy flowers for yourself. They instantly change and brighten a room (and mood)!
Buy a plant and watch it grow! I especially love hyacinths!
When in bloom, they smell amazing!
Wear pretty nail polish! Lovin’ these great spring colours from Joe at Superstore.
Wear jewelry that makes you feel pretty! I love my sets from So Pretty Jewelry!
Bring out the candles! They soften and charm a room (or a mood)!
These votives from glass.ful are so stunning! I’m going to be getting myself one of these! I love, love the ballet one!
Get in the kitchen and whip up something yummy!
I’m baking, I’m cooking. (which is not helping me get into my pre-baby pants, but a girl’s gotta eat in this cold. It’s a cave-man DNA thing…right?)
Mmm. Popcorn & Marshmallows! |
I hope I gave you some inspiration to lighten your winter steps!
Happy pretend spring!

Hello there! I’m pretending it’s spring to. I have hyacinth and narcissus bulbs scattered in pots around my apartment, and am loving your other springtime ideas. I came across your post through the link party at remodelaholic.
thanks for the spring inspirations. I need it- I am in Boston, so I may be warmer than you, but it’s still well below freezing!
How cool is your “cake”. I wouldn’t have thought to put something like that in a cake pan like that.
