The hard-to-buy-fors. You know who you are! #HolidayGiftCards

I cannot believe that there are less than 19 days until Christmas!  So much for my goal of having my Christmas shopping all done by December 1!  What was I thinking?!  Truth be told, I’ve barely even started…don’t panic don’t panic don’t panic!

I won’t panic.  Actually I’m just going to tackle everything all in one day.  Get ‘er done.  I love Christmas shopping for the most part, but I do stress a little when trying to get gifts for the hard-to-buy-fors on my list.  You know who they are…usually the men.  Dads.  Husbands.  Brothers.  Why are they so hard?  I’m the easiest person on the planet to buy for.  No, seriously I am.  But buying for the men in my life gives me a little stress.

Who’s your hardest to buy for person?  Mine is definitely my Dad.  He is seriously so tough.  Every year I ask what he wants and my mom sends me a list…it’s a good list but my Dad doesn’t put much on it…you know the old “I have everything I need, I don’t need anything else.”  I get that.  But I’m not showing up at Christmas with um, nothing for my Dad.  Can’t do that!  And I want to get him something he’ll like and use, but I’m just not good at guessing what that is anymore…so that’s where gift cards come in!

See…this is my Dad.  He doesn’t need anything…he’s happy with just a box!  ;

The best thing about gift cards is how easy they are to give, and how great they are to get!  If someone is hard to buy for, let them buy what they want, then everyone is happy!  So this year Dad is getting an iTunes gift card (shhhh don’t tell him)…perfect for the new iPad he got for his birthday.  He can load it up with books, music, games and apps.  He’s gets what he wants and he’s happy!  Done and done.

So don’t play the gift guessing game by wrapping another pair of socks.  Or a wallet.  Give the gift of letting your loved one pick what they want for Christmas by getting them a gift card!

  1. My HUSBAND is impossible to buy for! You’d think living with him I would catch on to things here and there but he never says he wants anything unless it’s a HUGE thing that is above my pay grade!

  2. For me it’s my niece, she’s 17 and has everything she wants and needs, a very blessed girl. 🙂 This would be more than I would usually give, but she would love it.

  8. I’m failing in the present buying department this year. I think my older sister is the hardest to buy for – I hate paying more on shipping than the actual gift so I’m looking at the online stores that offer free shipping and gift wrapping 😉 xo
