Garden Wine Party
This delicious Garden Wine Party and post was generously sponsored by Kendall-Jackson wines. But as always the voice, all content, and opinions are mine alone.
Would you like to come to my garden party? I felt like many of you were there as you followed along in real time on my Instagram feed. I just couldn’t resist sharing this party with you because it was so delicious and fun! Summer is the most perfect time to have friends and family come together to share company, great food and great wine. Add in an amazing back drop like a lush green garden and it’s a pretty fantastic time!
I was lucky enough to have this gorgeous garden party sponsored by Kendall-Jackson wines so that we could taste and share the Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay.
This delicious Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay is handcrafted from grapes grown in California’s cool coastal vineyards. It is fruit-forward, divinely complex, approachable and exceptionally food-friendly. Food friendly indeed…I had a great time with a party menu! Come, have a taste…
I really enjoyed putting this party together…I just felt so inspired by my surroundings and let them dictate the mood of the party. It was a warm and sunny day, everything in the garden was in full bloom…we had the perfect setting for what turned out to be a really, really great evening. Even just moving a meal outdoors casts some magic on everyone…the food tastes fresh, the wine tastes crisp and everyone’s mood is light.
To make sure my guests felt the same magic I did, I kept the party preparations very very simple…with a beautiful background, clean crisp linens, and lots of pretty garden flowers. Simple equals no stress.
I was lucky enough to host this garden party outside on the deck at my parents place. What better decor and backdrop than a lush green forest and a deck brimming with flowers and herbs? All this gorgeous greenery was so inspiring and made decorating very easy. All we had to do was haul out a table amongst all the flowers, then we covered it with a white table cloth, added rustic benches and antique chairs and we had an instant quaint garden party! On a side note, I could just sit back and stare at this view all day long…ahhhh….
For finishing touches I added sprigs of garden flowers, candles and simple dinnerware. Now all we needed was some delicious food to complete my garden party!
We started out this gorgeous party with a mouthwatering appetizer! I made a Puff Pastry Baked Brie with a Blueberry Chutney. And to say that this was loved by everyone is an understatement. This appetizer is out of this world delicious! I’m sharing the recipe today over on the Kendall-Jackson website. Make sure you go over and pin it for your next get together! This is a simple to make recipe that will wow your guests…trust me.
I also kept the dinner menu easy, and let the wine guide my choices. Because the Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay has citrus notes, I served light and fresh dishes.
We noshed on Rosemary Grilled Chicken with a Fresh Citrus and Peach Salsa. I also served Rosemary Roasted Baby Potatoes, and Spinach Salad with a Ruby Red Grapefruit Vinaigrette. It was a truly delicious dinner! Make sure to come back here later for these recipes…you won’t want to miss them!
Thank you for stopping in at my garden party! We had such a lovely night…the food was great, the company better, the wine fantastic. I hope you feel inspired to get out there and host your own great time…this is the stuff summers are made of. Love it.
