One Dish Turkey and Stuffing
If you're having a small gathering for the holidays, this One Dish Turkey and Stuffing is a great dinner option. This will serve 4 adults (or a family of 6 with kids) comfortably.

Ingredients
Turkey:
- 1 2 1/2 lb turkey breast, bone in, skin on
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/8 tsp dried sage
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Stuffing:
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup butter
- 8 cups of dried cubed bread see tips
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
Stuffing:
- In a large deep skillet, over low-medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the chopped celery and onions and cook until tender.
- Add the bread cubes, and mix until the bread is coated in butter.
- Add salt, sage, and thyme. Mix well.
- If you find that your stuffing is too dry at this point, add some chicken broth until it’s how you want it. Sometimes I have to add up to one cup.
- Add the stuffing to the bottom of a large baking pan (I use a 9x13 enamel pan).
Turkey:
- Season the turkey breast with the thyme, rosemary, sage, salt and pepper.
Putting it all together:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place the seasoned turkey breast on top of the stuffing.
- Cover with tin foil and bake for 1 hour.
- TIP! I like to stir the stuffing around a few times during baking.
- After this time, uncover and bake for 30 - 40 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the turkey breast measures 165 degrees.
- When the turkey is done, remove from heat and let rest under tin foil for about 5 minutes.
