Italian Meatballs Recipe
These Italian Meatballs are soft, tender and so flavourful. Once baked, these meatballs then simmer in a simple tomato sauce. Serve over your favourite pasta with fresh basil and grated Parmesan.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork fresh
- 1 lb lean ground beef fresh
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 small onion minced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
- In a bowl mix the bread crumbs and milk together. Let sit for 10 minutes
- After 10 minutes add the diced onion, garlic, eggs, and spices. Mix together.
- In a large bowl mix the beef and pork together.
- Then add the bread/seasoning mix to the meat mixture, and combine.
- Shape into meatballs, about 2 inches round.
- Now you need to let the meatballs rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- After this time, place the meatballs on a cooking rack over a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes (until browned and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165 F).
- After this time transfer the meatballs to a large skillet.
- Pour your favourite tomato sauce over the meatballs and simmer for 15-20 minutes on low-medium heat.
- While the sauce and meatballs are simmering you can start the noodles.
- Sprinkle the meatballs with fresh basil and parmesan cheese, and serve immediately with the cooked pasta.
