This really is the BEST Ribs Recipe! Apply a homemade 4-Ingredient Brown Sugar Spice Rub, then slow bake for a few hours, resulting in THE most flavourful and tender ribs ever.

Ribs:

  • 2 racks of bone ribs (back ribs, baby back ribs, pork ribs)

Brown Sugar Spice Rub:

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

Brown Sugar Spice Rub:

  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, brown sugar, chili powder and fresh ground pepper.

The Ribs:

  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F.
  • Lay the ribs out onto a baking sheet lined with tin foil. If needed, use a piece of paper towel to wipe off any moisture.
  • Rub the brown sugar spice rub mixture all over the top, meaty part of the ribs. I also like to add some to the back of the ribs. Use it all.
  • Lay the ribs, bones side down on the baking sheet.
  • Completely and tightly cover the ribs with another sheet of tin foil.
  • Bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  • Once the ribs have baked, slather them in your favourite barbecue sauce and finish them off on your barbecue at medium to hight heat. Barbecue them just long enough for the barbecue sauce to caramelize and the ribs to get at great smoky flavour.
