Simple Cherry Tomato Sauce

A simple 3-Ingredient Cherry Tomato Sauce that is delicious tossed with pasta. A great way to use up ripe cherry tomatoes.

  • 5 lbs cherry tomatoes (whole)
  • 5 cloves garlic, cut in half
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  1. In a large saucepan, drizzle about 3 – 4 tbsp of olive oil.
  2. Add the whole cherry tomatoes and garlic.
  3. Simmer on low-medium heat for about 1 hour. The sauce is done when the liquid is gone and the sauce is the consistency of pasta sauce. If it’s not done at this time, simmer it a little longer.
  4. If you haven’t removed the skins already, let the sauce cool a little, then use your hand to remove them from the sauce.
  5. Now put the tomatoes into a blender (or use a hand blender) and puree the sauce until it is smooth and creamy.
  6. Serve over hot pasta and enjoy!
