Homemade Garlic Olive Oil

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 cloves large of garlic (peeled and sliced in half lengthwise)


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Measure out the oil into a ramekin.
  3. Add the garlic pieces.
  4. Cover with tin foil and bake for 30 – 45 minutes, or until the garlic is soft when pierced.
  5. Remove the garlic, and save it to add to soups, stews, or smear it on bread. (I actually kept the garlic in mine.)
  6. Transfer the oil to a sterilized glass bottle or jar and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
