This Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup is made with real pumpkin, brown sugar and pumpkin pie spices! Delicious, easy and ready in 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan on the stove, on low heat. Let simmer until the sugar dissolves, stirring the entire time.
  2. Then add the remaining ingredients and use a whisk to mix everything together.
  3. Let simmer at a low heat (a very light boil is ok), whisking often, until the mixture thickens to the consistency of a thin syrup. This can take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Store in an airtight glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
